VERMICOMPOST

Vermicompost and Tea improve the life in the soil and on plant surfaces. They add a huge diversity of beneficial organisms to their environment. Vermicompost is a pesticide-free fertilizer and will not burn seedlings, plants or roots.

Worm Castings are deposits that once moved through the digestive tract of a worm. Castings are a highly active biological mass containing thousands of bacteria, enzymes and remnants of plant material not digested by red worms, including worm eggs/cocoons. Worm Castings are also an excellent soil conditioner, rich in nitrogen, potassium, phosphorous, calcium, and magnesium and readily available to the plant as needed.

Vermicompost a ‘mixture’ of worm castings and organic material in various stages of decomposition. This mixture improves soil quality; water retention, adds millions of beneficial microorganisms including baby worms and eggs. It helps prevent extreme pH levels; the pH of worm castings is 7. Plant growth is stimulated and can increase germination up to 70%, while controlling plant pathogens. When it is mixed into the soil it works its way throughout the plant via the roots. As a soil dressing, it helps protect plant surfaces and increases resistance to disease and pests.
